How long does it take for depression to return to normal

The recovery time varies due to the individual constitution of depressed patients. Depression is a more common neurological disorder in which patients mainly present with significant and pronounced depressed moods and poorer moods that do not correspond to objective facts, and patients can range from sullenness to grief to pessimism, despair and even suicidal tendencies or behaviors. Depression is classified as mild, moderate and severe. If the patient is mildly depressed, he or she can usually recover after about 2 months by continuing medication and ensuring adequate medication dosage; if the patient is moderately depressed or above, he or she needs to be treated by a combination of medication, psychological and physical therapy, but the recovery time is not much different than mild depression, and the main task is to prevent relapse. In addition, it is recommended that patients should have regular follow-ups, face life with an optimistic and positive attitude, and maintain a good routine and diet and exercise habits to avoid recurrence of the disease.
