Polyethylene glycol (PEG) interferon alpha in combination with ribavirin is currently the preferred antiviral treatment recommended by guidelines for the management and treatment of chronic hepatitis C in countries around the world. A multicenter, randomized, open, positive drug-controlled phase III clinical trial entitled “Y-type PEGylated recombinant human interferon alpha 2b injection for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C” is being conducted in more than 40 hospitals in 22 provinces and cities across China, including Peking University People’s Hospital.
