People with liver disease, especially cirrhosis, avoid hard, nutty foods for fear of gastrointestinal bleeding. Over time they can become deficient in trace elements including zinc. As these elements are mostly found in nuts. Therefore, nuts can be consumed using commercially available cooking machines & soy milk makers with grinding function. Break the nuts into powder or small granules. They can be added to porridge or taken orally. Beneficial nuts include, American almonds, blueberries, cashews, walnuts. They can be mixed and ground. Be careful not to have moldy nuts as they contain aflatoxin which is damaging to the liver. Peanuts as they contain more oil. Not recommended for long-term consumption. Especially for people with fatty liver.
