What are the advantages of laparoscopic cholecystectomy

  Advantages of laparoscopic cholecystectomy: 1. Minimally invasive laparoscopic treatment of gallbladder stones is less traumatic, painless, less bleeding and less risk of incisional infection; 2. Skilled laparoscopic techniques make laparoscopic cholecystectomy operation time shorter than open surgery; 3. Minimally invasive laparoscopic operation avoids open surgery with larger surgical scars affecting aesthetics; 4. Small interference with the abdominal cavity, early postoperative time in exhaustion and feeding, short hospital stay and low cost.  Indications for laparoscopic cholecystectomy: 1, gallbladder stones with obvious symptoms or recurrent cholecystitis attacks invalidated by non-surgical treatment; 2, gallbladder atrophy, gallbladder loss of function; 3, gallbladder stones with more particles and smaller diameter, easy to fall into the common bile duct leading to secondary bile duct stones and pancreatitis; stones larger than 3 cm in diameter; 4, although asymptomatic but at risk of gallbladder cancer.
