The cervical cancer vaccine is currently available in the market as bivalent, quadrivalent and nine-valent vaccines, each of which requires three doses for the purpose of preventing cervical cancer. The cost of the bivalent vaccine is about $600 per dose, the quadrivalent vaccine costs about $800 per dose, and the nine-valent vaccine costs about $1300 per dose. It is recommended that women who are sexually active or married should be screened for cervical cancer if they want to receive the cervical cancer vaccine. The vaccination can only be given if there is no cervical epithelial lesion and no high-risk HPV infection through cervical cancer screening. It is also important to avoid menstruation and breastfeeding during the vaccination period, and not to be vaccinated during pregnancy.
