The condition of blindness after myopia is usually seen in high myopia, especially ultra-high myopia, such as more than 1,000 degrees of myopia. The cause of blindness is usually due to fundus complications, such as retinal fissure formation, retinal detachment, macular hemorrhage and so on. Therefore, it is necessary to go to the hospital for a fundus examination as soon as possible and take a targeted treatment plan according to the different manifestations. If it is a retinal fissure, retinal laser photocoagulation can be performed to close the fissure. If it is retinal detachment, vitrectomy combined with retinal repositioning surgery is needed to restore visual function as much as possible. Macular hemorrhage can be treated conservatively in the early stage, and if conservative treatment is ineffective or macular edema is formed, intraocular injection of razumab can be given to reduce macular edema in this case. If it has caused macular fissure or superficial detachment of the peripheral retina, surgical treatment is also required.
