What are the treatment options for thyroid nodules?

What are the medications used to treat thyroid nodules? What are the drug treatments for thyroid nodules? Common treatments for thyroid nodules: 1. Cysts can be formed by either benign or malignant degenerative changes. Pure thyroid cysts are rare, and any persistent or recurrent mixed masses should be removed. 2, substantial single nodule nucleus nuclear scan for hot nodules of the thyroid gland single nodule, cancer is less likely, can first try thyroxine (LT4) suppression therapy or nuclear therapy. Cold nodules mostly require surgical treatment. Any single nodule with rapid development and hard texture, or with enlarged lymph nodes in the neck or in children, should be operated early because of the high possibility of malignancy. 3.Multi-nodular goiter (MNG) is traditionally considered to have less chance of cancer in MNG than in a solitary nodule. However, high-resolution ultrasonography has revealed that many people diagnosed as having a single nodule are actually having multiple nodules, and it is now believed that there is little difference in the incidence of cancer between the two. Therefore, the first step in the management of MNG is to rule out malignancy. If sTSH is decreased, hyperthyroidism is indicated. If FNA cytology is diagnosed as malignant or suspected malignant, it should be treated surgically. 4.Radiation nodules head and neck who receive radiation therapy are prone to thyroid cancer, as early as 5 years and as late as 30 years after radiation. FNA should be done to confirm the diagnosis of thyroid nodules after radiotherapy. In recent years, due to the development of ultrasound, CT and MRI, small nodules of the thyroid gland that cannot be felt can be found accidentally during other examinations. These nodules are usually found in elderly people without a history of thyroid disease, thyroid nodules, or risk factors for thyroid cancer. If the nodules are smaller than 1.5 cm, they only need to be followed up and observed; if the nodules are larger than 1.5 cm, FNA can be done under ultrasound guidance, and then further treatment can be done according to cytological results. A thyroid nodule is a mass with one or more abnormal tissue structures in the thyroid gland due to various causes. Thyroid nodules present differently in different examination methods. For example, a thyroid nodule found by palpation is a mass that is palpated in the thyroid region. A thyroid nodule detected by ultrasound of the thyroid is an area of focal echogenic abnormality. The results of the two tests are sometimes inconsistent, such as when a thyroid mass is palpated on examination but no nodule is found on thyroid ultrasound, or when a thyroid nodule is not palpated on examination but a thyroid nodule is found on thyroid ultrasound.
