Cervical cancer is a highly prevalent malignancy in women and is usually detected during gynecological screening. So, what are the types of cervical cancer? Microscopically, there are several types of cervical cancer as follows: 1. Nodular type Nodular cervical cancer has fewer patients and like endophytic cervical cancer, it mainly invades the deep part of the cervix, with hard texture and less elasticity, which is more harmful. Ulcerative type After the cancer tissue invades the surface of the cervix, the cancer tissue is necrotic and falls off to form an ulcer, and the whole cervix is replaced by a large cavity. The lip of the cervix and the cervical canal are the high incidence areas, which are prone to secondary infection and can be discharged with foul-smelling discharge. 3.Infiltrative type Infiltrative type is also called endogenous type, in which the cancerous tissue spreads to the deeper part of the cervix and the tumor develops infiltratively, the cervix is enlarged and the surface is smooth or there are only superficial ulcers, this type has less bleeding and is less sensitive to radiation. 4.Cauliflower type Cauliflower type, also known as papillary cervical cancer, is usually found in the lip of the cervix and resembles cauliflower or papilla. Under microscopic observation, the cancer attached to the lip of cervix looks like polyp-like or papillary bulge, and there are protruding cauliflower-like superfluous organisms of different sizes in the vagina, which can be accompanied by necrosis and infection and are brittle and easy to bleed.
