How much do you know about liver cancer?

The liver is known as the “silent organ”, and the damage is often silent and unnoticeable, and once the symptoms such as pain appear, it is often too late. Liver cancer is known as the “king of cancer” due to its high incidence and high mortality rate. China is a large country with hepatitis and a country with high incidence of liver cancer, which is basically a trilogy of “hepatitis B – cirrhosis – liver cancer”. While being afraid of cancer, we miss the opportunity to stop the process of cancer, and even add fuel to the fire of liver cancer with unhealthy lifestyle. According to domestic statistics, the five-year survival rate of patients diagnosed with liver cancer is only 10%. That is, only two out of ten liver cancer patients can live up to five years. In fact, early-stage small liver cancer can be cured clinically through surgery. Overseas, early stage liver cancer is often detected during physical examination, and early intervention makes the treatment effect ideal and patient survival rate high. Due to the lack of public health education in China, liver cancer patients are often in the middle and late stages once they are detected, leading to poor treatment results. People with high risk of liver cancer should have regular liver checkups, including hepatitis B and B, liver ultrasound, etc. Patients with hepatitis B “major triple-positive” and patients with minor triple-positive over the age of forty-five should have medical checkups every six months, while patients with minor triple-positive under the age of forty-five can have annual checkups.
