Acute gout usually heals in a few days

For acute gout attacks, joint swelling and pain can generally be reduced within 3-7 days, and the symptoms can disappear within 2 weeks, but the exact time is related to the severity of the disease and personal physical condition, which requires comprehensive analysis. Gout attacks start rapidly and are usually seen at midnight. Patients often wake up due to severe pain, which is characterized by redness, swelling and heat in individual joints and difficulty in moving. For patients with normal liver and kidney function, if they are treated with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory painkillers in time, the joint swelling and pain can generally be reduced within 3-7 days and the symptoms can disappear within 2 weeks. However, for patients with a long history, frequent gout attacks or gout stones, or combined liver and kidney damage, the treatment period is longer, up to 2 weeks or even longer. Therefore, patients with gout should receive systematic and standardized treatment as early as possible to avoid complications such as gout stones and kidney damage, which may affect the efficacy of treatment.
