Grumpy? Maybe it’s depression!

  WHO reports that about 1 in 7 people worldwide will suffer from depression at some point in their lives. 25% of patients with mild depression have had suicidal thoughts, and among those with major depression, the percentage is as high as 75%. In China, 287,000 people die by suicide each year, 63% of those who commit suicide have a mental disorder, and 40% suffer from depression. Fifth, other factors abuse and dependence on psychoactive substances, can become a risk factor for depressive disorders, opiates, central stimulants, hallucinogens, alcohol, sedative-hypnotic drugs, etc., especially alcohol abuse.
