1. Indications: In principle, any severe acute visceral impairment due to SLE is an indication for shock therapy, which should be considered in the following cases: lupus encephalopathy; acute renal failure (except pre- and post-renal factors); acute lupus pneumonia; massive pericardial effusion; severe thrombocytopenia; acute severe hemolysis. 2. Relative contraindications Active infection; active gastrointestinal bleeding; glaucoma; uncontrolled diabetes mellitus; severe heart failure. 3.Preparation work related to shock treatment. Know whether there is any contraindication; explain the condition to the family; chest X-ray; ask whether there is any family history of mental illness; pay attention to monitoring electrolytes, especially potassium and blood glucose, and control the volume of intake and output; pay close attention to the patient’s body temperature and mental status.
