Chronic diseases, known as chronic non-communicable diseases, are a general term for a group of diseases with insidious onset, long and persistent course, lack of precise evidence of infectious biological causes, complex etiology, and some have not been identified. Chronic diseases have become one of the major public health problems plaguing our society. Experience at home and abroad shows that chronic diseases can be effectively prevented and controlled with the right methods and measures. In recent years, with the improvement of people’s living standard, the incidence of gout and hyperuricemia has been increasing year by year, but gout and hyperuricemia, as a chronic disease, have caused great harm to patients’ bones, urinary system, cardiovascular system and endocrine system and have not been highly valued by clinicians, patients and health administration departments, posing a major threat to the life and health of the general public. In order to better treat gout and hyperuricemia, the Rheumatology Department of Mianyang Central Hospital is carrying out chronic disease management for this disease, establishing a file for each patient with gout and formulating a standardized treatment strategy according to the patient’s condition, and conducting strict follow-up visits so that each patient can receive effective treatment and minimize the damage caused by gout to the body and stop worrying about gout.
