Causes and prevention of gallbladder cancer

The exact cause of gallbladder cancer is still unclear, but it can be related to the following factors: 1. Gallstone disease and chronic cholecystitis In foreign countries, 70%-90% of gallbladder cancer and gallbladder stones exist at the same time, and in recent years, the domestic report shows that the rate of both exists at the same time is 40%-86%, and some data prove that after the gallbladder is removed by stone surgery, 1.5%-6.3% of gallbladder cancer can be found; at the same time, it is found that The larger the diameter of stones, the higher the incidence rate, and the incidence rate of stones <20-22mm and >30mm in diameter are 2.4 and 10 times of those less than 10mm respectively. 2. Gallbladder adenoma and adenomyomatous hyperplasia of gallbladder In recent years, many data have recognized that gallbladder adenoma is a precancerous lesion of gallbladder cancer, and about 10%-30% of gallbladder adenoma can become cancer, especially for adenoma larger than 12mm in diameter. On the surface of adenoma of gallbladder, there may be mucous cell hyperplasia in the mucous membrane which is limitedly covered with mucus, and it is most prone to malignant transformation. 3.Gallbladder polyps Gallbladder polyps can be divided into cholesterol polyps, non-cholesterol polyps and polypoid adenocarcinoma, which account for 50%-60%, 40% and 10% of the total polyps respectively. The latter can be adenomatous and 50% are accompanied by gallstones; it has been reported that in 90%-98% of gallbladder cancer, common polyps (the above-mentioned type 3) are mixed with their cancerous foci, indicating that gallbladder polyps and gallbladder cancer may have some relationship. Prevention of gallbladder cancer 1.Maintain a happy psychological state, develop good eating habits, forbid spicy food, eat less thick and greasy food, and do not drink strong alcohol. 2.For people over 40 years old, especially women, they should have regular ultrasound examination, and if they have gallbladder infection, gallstones or polyps, they should follow up the examination, and if they find any changes in their conditions, they should have early treatment. 3.Before actively treating cancerous lesions, remove possible causes of cancerous lesions sooner or later, such as actively treating cholecystitis and performing cholecystectomy as early as possible for symptomatic gallstones or larger stones.
