Liver metastasis from gallbladder cancer is an advanced stage of tumor, and the malignancy of gallbladder cancer is high. The survival time in this case is usually extremely short, usually around 1 year, but it may vary slightly depending on the patient’s own condition and treatment prognosis, and the survival time may be only a few months. It can be divided into three cases: local liver metastasis, distant liver metastasis and combined acute complications.1. Local liver metastasis: When liver metastasis of gallbladder cancer is in local liver metastasis, it does not invade other parts of the liver. If patients are actively given surgical resection plus radical treatment and regional lymph node dissection, they can usually obtain certain results and the survival time can be relatively extended. After surgery, chemotherapy and targeted immunotherapy can be given, and the survival time can reach more than 1 year; 2. Distant liver metastasis: If gallbladder cancer combined with distant liver metastasis, it belongs to hematogenous metastasis, and metastases from other parts of liver can appear. In this case, the tumor is often extremely malignant and the tumor is extremely advanced, which can reach all organs of the body through blood and thus appear related metastatic lesions. Even if the primary gallbladder cancer is removed, the metastatic lesions and other parts of the liver cannot be effectively controlled and will grow rapidly in later stages. In this case, the survival time is shorter, which may only be about half a year; 3. Combination of acute complications: If liver metastasis of gallbladder cancer is combined with acute complications, such as liver failure, gastrointestinal bleeding and hepatic encephalopathy, resulting in abnormalities of several organs, the survival time will be significantly reduced. Depending on the specific control situation, when there is acute bleeding and acute failure, the survival time is only 1-3 months. Therefore, the overall survival time of gallbladder cancer liver metastasis is short, but there are large individual differences. Timely intervention should be made in the early stage of cancer to control the metastasis of cancer cells and the occurrence of some acute complications, which can appropriately extend the life span of patients. Meanwhile, pay attention to the psychological care of patients so that they can face the disease with confidence, which is also helpful to the prolongation of survival time.
