The longest life expectancy of gallbladder cancer depends on the patient’s specific condition, which mainly depends on the stage of gallbladder cancer and whether standardized treatment can be performed at an early stage, and cannot be generalized. If the patient’s disease is detected early and the tumor is early in situ or stage T1 at the time of diagnosis, the five-year survival rate can be more than 90% after surgery; if the patient recovers well and no distant metastasis occurs, the patient may even survive for a long time, i.e. achieve clinical cure. If the patient is already at stage T2 or above, surgical treatment may also have the possibility of cure. However, if the patient has reached the middle and late stage when discovered and cannot be treated by surgery, his survival period is usually 1-2 years, or 3-6 months in severe cases, and he may die within hours or days if complicated by serious diseases such as obstruction. In addition, patients with gallbladder cancer should rest quietly after surgery, adopt left-sided or supine position to avoid pressure on the gallbladder, and their diet should be light and easy to digest, with small amount and many meals, and avoid overeating.
