Different treatment methods are chosen for gallbladder cancer according to the stage of the tumour, with surgery being the mainstay. Radical surgery is currently the only treatment method for gallbladder cancer that may lead to a cure, with chemotherapy and radiotherapy as optional and effective treatment methods.
