Gout may cause wrist pain. Gout is a metabolic disorder that causes localised pain, swelling and redness in the wrist joint in the early stages due to increased production or impaired excretion of uric acid salts, and later on gout stones of various sizes may appear around the joint, causing joint pain and deformity.
