Interventional treatment of hepatic hemangioma

Hepatic hemangioma is a common benign tumor of the liver with a high incidence, and the traditional treatment method is mainly surgical resection. With the development of interventional medicine, interventional therapy has become an effective and feasible treatment method for this disease and is the preferred treatment. The commonly used interventional methods are: percutaneous hepatic artery interventional embolization, percutaneous hepatic intra-neoplastic injection, radiofrequency ablation and so on. Percutaneous hepatic artery interventional embolization is the preferred method, and other methods can be used after the failure of the transarterial route. Indications: 1.diameter >5cm with obvious discomfort symptoms; 2.tumor increases significantly in a short period of time; 3.tumor is located in the periphery with the possibility of rupture and haemorrhage; 4.interventional treatment before surgery to shrink the tumor or reduce bleeding; 5.small asymptomatic hemangioma where the patient has psychological burden and strongly demands treatment. Contraindications: those with liver and kidney failure and serious bleeding tendency. Case 1: Female, 54 years old, hepatic hemangioma was found on physical examination. The lesion was located in the periphery of the liver. Interventional embolization with iodine oil + pinyamycin was performed. Case 2: Female, 38 years old. CT enhancement: multiple hepatic hemangiomas. Interventional embolization with iodine oil + pinyamycin was performed to treat the largest subxiphoid lesion. (See case for follow-up CT films of her treatment.) Interventional treatment of hepatic hemangioma is less invasive, safe, effective, less complications, repeatable, and is the preferred method of treatment for hepatic hemangioma!
