Is giant liver cancer always advanced?

According to the size of liver cancer, we often classify liver cancer into micro liver cancer (less than 3cm), small liver cancer (3-5cm), large liver cancer (5-10cm), and giant liver cancer (more than 10cm). Generally speaking, the smaller the liver cancer is, the shorter the tumor growth time in the body and the earlier it is, the better the treatment effect and the lower the chance of recurrence. Giant liver cancer is larger than 10 cm, which has a relatively longer growth time in the body and a higher chance of metastasis, and is generally considered as advanced stage and has poor treatment effect. However, in recent years, due to the application of advanced surgical instruments in clinical practice and the popularization of the concept of precise liver resection, many giant liver cancers can be radically resected, which greatly improves the treatment effect of giant liver cancer. Therefore, if giant liver cancer can be radically resected, it is not advanced liver cancer.
