Common manifestations after suffering from depression

Recently, I read in the media about the death of Korean star Choi Jin who committed suicide. As a mental health worker is very touching, many stars are in the period of vigor and prosperity, but chose the road of no return by themselves. Such as Zhang Guo Rong, Lee Eun Joo, Jung Do Bin, etc.. As stars, they have cars, houses, money, but they are like fireworks, while winning the appreciation of people, but lost the opportunity to be known, young, why do they want to be so thin on life? It turns out that these stars are suffering from a mental illness – depression. Depression is a brain disorder, refers to a significant decline in interest in daily activities, feel meaningless life, pessimistic about the future; often meditate on unpleasant things, often think badly about things, mental discomfort, slow reaction, lack of confidence in work, learning, life, self-evaluation decline, reluctance to take the initiative to interact with others, prone to sadness and tears or sad face, there is a sense of life as long as years, the idea of suicide, but the internal contradictions are heavy The feeling of being in a state of depression is not new to many people. Many people are not unfamiliar with depression, but depression is fundamentally different from general “unhappiness”, it has distinctive features and three main symptoms, namely depressed mood, slowed thinking and motor inhibition. Depressed mood means not being happy, always sad, and even pessimistic and despairing. Delayed thinking means that the patient feels that his or her mind is not working well, cannot remember things, and has difficulty thinking about problems. Patients feel that their brains are empty and their reactions are slow. Motor inhibition means inactivity and laziness. Walking is slow and speech is scarce. In severe cases, the patient may not eat or move and may not be able to take care of himself/herself. It is not common to see patients with these typical symptoms. Many patients have only one or two of these symptoms, and the severity varies from person to person. Depression, anxiety, loss of interest, lack of energy, pessimism, and low self-esteem are all common symptoms of depression, and sometimes it is difficult to distinguish them from a general short period of bad mood. Here is an easy way to introduce to you: if the above discomfort is severe in the morning and partially relieved in the afternoon or evening, then it is more likely that you are suffering from depression. This is the rhythmic variation of depression called day heavy and night light. Somatic symptoms are relative to mental symptoms, that is, feeling physically unwell. Although depression is a mental illness, many patients have physical discomfort: such as dry mouth, constipation, loss of appetite, indigestion, palpitations, shortness of breath and chest tightness. Patients with depression are depressed and pessimistic due to their depressed mood. In severe cases, it is easy to have suicidal thoughts. And, because the patient’s thinking and logic are basically normal, the success rate of implementing suicide is also higher. Suicide is one of the most dangerous symptoms of depression. According to research, the suicide rate of depressed patients is 20 times higher than that of the general population, and their suicides are mainly related to their introverted personalities, life events, and severe depression. Some unexplained suicides may have suffered from severe depression during their lifetime, just as the stars mentioned earlier, only to not be discovered in time. Get out of your depression and let it see the rainbow again. They do not have the energy or ability to do anything, or worse, feel that there is no point in living and the idea of living lightly. Most people in this state are able to realize that their state is not quite normal, but do not think they have the ability to change it all, often using a negative coping method, lying in bed and saying to themselves: when my mood improves, I will be able to ……. However, when does the mood get better? It does not seem to be under your control. Faced with this situation, you are often quite distressed, eager to get rid of but do not know where to start, can only wait in bewilderment. In fact, human emotions, thoughts and behaviors are interrelated, one moves, all three move. Of the three, it is the behavior that is easiest to change with self-control. Therefore, when the mood is not good, you can indirectly take the initiative to improve your mood by actively changing your behavior. Find something you used to enjoy but haven’t done in a long time, make a realistic plan and complete it, and gradually increase the number of meaningful activities in your life. As you increase your activities, you will find that there are many things you can do, and your interest in life will gradually return. Dear friend, if you are feeling unwell, hopeless, or even thinking of living lightly, and no other organic disease can be detected. It is recommended that you visit a specialist hospital, and perhaps a psychiatric psychologist will help you emerge from your despair and be able to live a more meaningful life.
