The serological markers of hepatitis B virus include: HBsAg, anti-HBs, HBeAg, anti-HBe, anti-HBc and anti-HBc-IgM. A positive HBsAg indicates HBV infection; Du Lei of the Ai Research Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a positive anti-HBs is a protective antibody that indicates immunity to HBV, and is seen in people recovering from hepatitis B and those who have received hepatitis B vaccine. Positive HBeAg indicates active hepatitis B virus replication and strong infectiousness; positive HBeAb indicates relatively less virus replication and weak infectiousness; positive anti-HBc-IgM indicates HBV replication, mostly seen in the acute phase of hepatitis B, but also seen in the acute attack of chronic hepatitis B; anti-HBc total antibody is mainly anti-HBc-IgG, as long as infected with HBV, regardless of whether the virus is cleared or not, this antibody is mostly positive. The anti-HBc total antibody is mainly anti-HBc-IgG.
