The severity of contact bleeding depends on the cause of the contact bleeding. If it is only inflammation such as cervicitis, it is usually easier to treat and the situation is not serious, but if it is a malignant lesion such as cervical cancer or vaginal squamous epithelial cancer, it may even be life-threatening. However, regardless of the severity, contact bleeding is an abnormal phenomenon different from physiological bleeding and should be treated actively after the cause is clarified as soon as possible.
