Do diclofenac sodium extended-release tablets treat headaches?

Diclofenac sodium extended-release tablets are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics and have a role in the treatment of headaches. However, the effectiveness of treating headache is predicated on the severity of the headache. If the headache is only mild, oral diclofenac sodium extended-release tablets can be an effective treatment. If the pain is moderate or above, oral diclofenac sodium extended-release tablets alone are not effective and often need to be combined with central analgesics, such as tylenol or tramadol, for combined analgesia to relieve pain. If you have severe headache, you should not blindly use pain medication to treat it. You should go to neurosurgery or neurology for professional examination, such as taking cranial MRI and specialist examination to determine whether there is any intracranial lesion causing severe headache, and if you are sure that there is no lesion causing pain, then analgesic treatment is safer.
