Contact bleeding may not be immediate, but can manifest itself either as bleeding 1 to 2 hours after contact or again the next day, sometimes with little bleeding, manifesting only as leukorrhea mixed with blood. Patients who bleed immediately after intercourse or gynecological examination, or who notice frequent blood in the vaginal discharge, should seek medical help as soon as possible.
