Ablation of thyroid tumors in young women

  Patient’s basic condition: Female, 22 years old, a senior student, found thyroid nodules for 2 years. She has been taking oral eugenol treatment because she was concerned that the scar left on her neck after surgery would affect her future work and finding a date. The nodules were only visible when swallowing, but now they are clearly visible.  Treatment history: Ultrasonography found a mixed nodule in the left thyroid area, size about 43mm*39mm*26mm, volume about 22.8ml. after I explained to the patient the process of ablation and the change process of the nodule after ablation, she decisively chose ablation. It took only 32 minutes from the patient entered the operation room to the end of treatment and went out. The patient was awake throughout the treatment process and was discharged home after 1 hour of observation after the treatment, and the patient did not show any obvious abnormal performance.  The first time, 1 month after the operation, the nodules were no longer visible on the outside, but the inactivated nodules could be seen on ultrasound after ablation, and the volume was reduced by 68.18%.  The second time, 3 months after surgery, the nodules continued to shrink, with 71.56% volume reduction.  The third time, 6 months after surgery, the nodules continued to shrink, with 82.47% volume reduction.  The fourth time, 12 months after the procedure, the nodules decreased in size by 83.72%.  Before ablation 1 month after ablation
