The general recurrence of thyroid cancer in a few years cannot be generalized, but is closely related to the patient’s pathological type, the time of detection and the thoroughness of treatment. According to the origin of the tumor and the differentiation differences, thyroid cancer can be divided into four types: follicular carcinoma, medullary carcinoma, papillary carcinoma, and undifferentiated carcinoma. Among them, follicular carcinoma is less malignant and has a lower chance of recurrence. Medullary carcinoma and undifferentiated carcinoma have a relatively higher recurrence rate. However, in general, if patients can be diagnosed and treated surgically in time, most of them have good prognosis and can survive for a long time with low possibility of recurrence. However, to prevent recurrence, lifelong follow-up is still recommended to detect signs of recurrence or metastasis in time so that corresponding treatment measures can be taken in time to improve the cure and survival rate. In addition, patients with thyroid cancer should maintain a relaxed mood, take their medication on time, eat more high-fiber and nutritious food, control iodine intake reasonably, and increase exercise appropriately to reduce the possibility of thyroid cancer recurrence.
