Most patients often have no obvious spontaneous symptoms and are often detected on bowel examination. The main clinical symptoms of patients are intestinal bleeding, abdominal pain, diarrhoea and intestinal obstruction.
Patients with familial, hereditary polyps or polyposis are more likely to develop colonic polyps with a greater risk of cancer and require regular screening.
