Ichthyosis is mostly hereditary, and for hereditary ichthyosis, there is generally no method to effectively avoid not passing it on to the child, but generally avoiding consanguineous marriages will reduce the chances of heredity. Ichthyosis is a relatively common skin disease, mainly manifested as dry skin and flaking and ichthyosis-like lesions, usually related to genetic factors. As ichthyosis is hereditary, it may be passed on to the next generation. In order to reduce the chance of heredity, it is recommended that people with ichthyosis avoid consanguineous marriages, as close relatives may carry the hereditary gene of ichthyosis, and if they get married, the chance of heredity will be greater. It should be noted that ichthyosis is not always certain to be passed on to children.
