Who is favored by gallbladder stones?

  Gallbladder stones are a common and frequent clinical disease, and gallbladder removal surgery due to gallbladder stones and cholecystitis accounts for about 10% of all surgical procedures. At present, the incidence of gallbladder stones worldwide is higher in Europe and the United States, ranging from 13.3% to 17.9% in the United States and 10% to 12% in Europe.  In China, due to the uneven economic development, people’s living standards and dietary habits vary greatly, so the incidence of gallbladder stones is also significantly different. The average incidence of gallbladder stones among Chinese residents is 5.6%. The incidence of gallbladder stones in the economically underdeveloped areas of southwest and northwest China is only 3.5%, and gallstones are more frequent in the bile ducts and intrahepatic bile ducts. In economically developed regions and large cities, such as Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and other cities in East China and North China, the incidence of gallbladder stones is 5% to 8%.  Clinically speaking, who are gallbladder stones usually common in? Gallbladder stones are often found in the following groups; women, obese, over 40 years old, multiple mothers and those with family history. Gallbladder stones, often referred to as geriatric disease, have a significant increase in incidence with age, especially in the older female population.”  It is reported that in an epidemiological survey of gallstone disease in Shanghai, the incidence of gallbladder stones reached 12% in adult women and 20% in older women over 65 years of age. The incidence of gallbladder stones was significantly higher in those with family members with the disease, nearly 10 times the prevalence in the general population, with a higher incidence especially in the offspring of female children in the family line.
