In TCM psychological clinics, we often see patients with mental illnesses repeatedly tossing and turning in long-term medication and medication changes (biomedical), a process that can easily be experienced as “fooling the patient, punishing the family, selling drugs to the doctor, and laughing at the drug company”. This is essentially demeaning and humiliating to the human “biopsychosocial model of medicine”.
