Significance of a positive syphilis rapid plasma reactin test

The rapid plasma reactin test for syphilis is a non-specific test. If a patient with syphilis has been identified, the rapid plasma reactin test is used to see the effect of treatment, if it is only positive and there is no titer response, then the rapid plasma reactin test is not very significant, it can only further prove that the patient belongs to syphilis, if there is a corresponding titer and there is a change, then it can be used to determine the effect of treatment for syphilis patients. It can be used to determine the effectiveness of treatment for syphilis patients. After treatment, the rapid plasma reactin test usually decreases to a negative level, and some of them remain positive, but their titers are lower, possibly 1:2, 1:4 or 1:8, but 1.2 or 1:4 is not a good test: 2 or 1:4 is a bit more common.
