Gas poisoning, i.e. carbon monoxide poisoning, in patients with severe poisoning or without timely treatment, the patients may suffer from delayed encephalopathy, cerebral nerve and peripheral nerve damage, cortical focal dysfunction, pyramidal system nerve damage, extrapyramidal neurological disorders and other sequelae. 1. Delayed encephalopathy: manifested as dementia, rigidity, delirium, etc. 2. Brain nerve and peripheral nerve damage: optic atrophy, auditory nerve, peripheral nerve damage, etc. 3. Cerebral cortical focal dysfunction: manifestations such as aphasia, blindness, loss of standing ability, secondary epilepsy, and so on. 4. Damage to the nerves of the pyramidal system: hemiparesis, urinary incontinence, positive pathological reflexes, etc. 5. Extrapyramidal neurological disorders: indifference of expression, increased muscle tone of limbs, forward gait, resting tremor, etc. Once suspected of gas poisoning, the patient should be immediately sent to the emergency department of the hospital for treatment, so as not to cause sequelae due to untimely treatment.
