Which is the best cervical cancer screening method?

Cervical cancer screening has been “deeply rooted” in women’s hearts in big cities, and is gradually being understood and recognized in small places. If you take a look at your own medical check-up package or think about your experience of going to the obstetrics and gynecology department, most of them should include cervical cancer screening (if you haven’t done it yet, hurry up and do it!). However, do you know what is a good screening method, how old you should start screening, and do you need to be screened every year? These little secrets may not be clear to your doctor. Which is the best screening method? The Pap smear method (Pap smear) used to be cheaper but less accurate has been largely eliminated. Nowadays, the mainstream screening methods are TCT and HPV test, while TCT has been carried out in second and even third-tier cities, and HPV test can only be carried out in big cities now. If it is true that it is not available in your area, then a traditional Pap smear is also an option. When does screening begin and end? Screening begins at age 21; for women 65 years of age, if all previous screenings have been normal, then screening can be ended, and for those with previous CIN2 or higher lesions, routine screening will continue for at least 20 years. Do I need to be screened every year? This is the area where people and even many doctors are most confused. The answer is that annual screening is not required at all ages. 30-65 years old can be screened once every 5 years if TCT + HPV is normal (preferred); if TCT is the only condition available, or if only TCT is required (e.g., 21-29 years old age group), then every 3 years is fine (second choice). Many of you have gone to Hong Kong for cervical cancer vaccination, but please note that you should follow the above screening method even if you have been vaccinated! Please note: 1. The above screening intervals are based on normal results; if there is an abnormal result in the screening, such as an abnormal TCT + HPV, please don’t wait for 5 years foolishly and consult your doctor. 2, this is the United States method, of course, the world is also the most comprehensive and scientific method of the United States, Europe also basically use this method.
