How much does cervical cancer screening cost?

Cervical cancer screening usually costs about $500. The fee varies from place to place, so please refer to the local fee schedule. Cervical cancer screening includes two tests: liquid-based cytology examination of the cervix, also called TCT, and human papillomavirus examination of the cervix, or HPV examination. Generally speaking, it is recommended that the TCT and HPV examinations of the cervix be performed outside of the menstrual period and that no sexual intercourse be had within two days before the examination to avoid the occurrence of vaginal drug. If there is a positive result of cervical cancer screening, further colposcopy is needed to determine the next step of treatment based on the colposcopic examination.
