Is it okay to eat peanuts for gout?

Peanuts should not be consumed during the acute phase of gout, and can be consumed in moderation during the remission period. The purine content of peanuts is about 96.3mg per 100g, which is a medium purine content food. Peanuts also contain high fat, if gout patients combined with hyperlipidemia, should be moderate to limit the intake of peanuts and other high-fat foods. Foods that gout patients should avoid are high purine foods, i.e. foods containing >150mg of purine per 100g of ingredients. Seafood, shellfish, deep-sea fish, and animal offal such as heart, liver, kidney and brain of pigs, cattle and sheep are all high purine foods. In addition, hot pot soup, thick meat soup and high soup all contain high purine. Beer itself does not have high purine content, but beer will produce purine substances after metabolism in the body, so it is not recommended for gout patients to drink beer. In addition, plant foods such as kelp, seaweed, soybean sprouts, asparagus and shiitake mushrooms are all high purine foods and should be avoided.
