Digitalis poisoning mainly manifests as cardiac arrhythmias, gastrointestinal symptoms and neurological related symptoms. The safety range of digitalis is small and the sensitivity of individuals is different, so they are prone to poisoning. Digitalis poisoning is mainly manifested in three aspects: cardiac, digestive tract and central nervous system. 1, cardiac symptoms occur in a variety of arrhythmias, common ventricular precontractions, mostly diphasic rhythm, non-paroxysmal junctional tachycardia, atrial precontractions, atrial fibrillation, sinus bradycardia and atrioventricular block. The ST-T segment of electrocardiogram may show “fishhook-like” changes, which is a characteristic change of digitalis toxicity. Arrhythmias may include palpitations, chest tightness, dizziness, weakness of limbs, black dawn or syncope. 2. Gastrointestinal symptoms are the most common early symptoms of poisoning, mainly manifested as anorexia, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. 3. Neurological symptoms include dizziness, headache, insomnia, fatigue, delirium and other symptoms and visual disturbances such as yellow vision, green vision and blurred vision. Disorders of orientation and consciousness are rare. Visual abnormalities are usually the precursors of digitalis poisoning. Digitalis toxicity can be manifested as arrhythmic symptoms such as palpitations, gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea and vomiting, or neurological symptoms such as visual abnormalities, dizziness and headache.
