Am I having a brain attack or am I depressed?

Patient: Hello! I have been suffering from depression since one year, and recently went to the hospital for examination results: I saw multiple speckle-like long T1 and long T2 abnormal signal shadows in both basal ganglia and frontoparietal lobe by MRI examination, some of the foci border is not clear, the pressure water image shows high signal shadow; brain stem and both sides of the cerebellar hemispheres in each scan sequence did not see obvious abnormal signal shadow; saddle area did not see obvious occupancy, both sides of the lateral ventricles and three ventricles slightly enlarged, the midline structure is still in the middle. The midline structure was still centered, and the sulcus fissure was widened. Diagnosis: 1. multiple intracranial lacunar infarcts (old and new lesions), 2. brain atrophy. The doctor prescribed me two kinds of medications: Brain Dextran Tablets and Compound Piracetam Cerebroprotein Hydrolysate Tablets, and I don’t seem to be prescribed any medication for depression. Am I having a brain attack or depression? What medication should I take?
