Nowadays, the Internet is becoming more and more developed, and when many people feel unwell, their first choice is to consult the Internet. It can be said that the Internet is a popular and worrying way to ask for medical advice. The good thing is that people can learn some medical knowledge through the Internet, which is good for raising health awareness. The worry is that when there is a mismatch between the doctor’s diagnosis and the information obtained from the Internet, it may be questioned, thus affecting the doctor-patient relationship. Not to mention that there are many fake websites, fake doctors and fake drugs, which makes it difficult to distinguish right from wrong. In fact, doctors have strict professional ethics and should “not prescribe without seeing the patient”. Doctors can only give directional advice if they are asked to do so, but they should not recommend specific drug names. In order to protect the lives of patients, the Ministry of Health issued the “Internet Medical Health Information Service Management Measures” clearly states that “medical health information services can only provide medical and health information consulting services, and shall not engage in online diagnosis and treatment activities.” Of course, most hospitals currently do not have doctors who are engaged in diagnostic and treatment activities on the Internet. Because the daily patients have been overwhelmed and exhausted, doctors have little time to answer patients’ questions online at the end of the day, and seeing a doctor is a very serious matter, not just talk about it. Because formal treatment means must examine the patient’s body in person, there is no way to make an accurate judgment about the patient’s condition without relevant supporting tests. In addition, many different diseases may have similar symptoms, or the same disease may appear in different people with different symptoms. It is easy to make a wrong judgment by generalization if you just ask through online. Therefore, it is better for the doctor to let the patient go to the hospital for examination before making a diagnosis.
