  Fatty liver is a clinicopathological syndrome characterized by diffuse hepatocellular macrovesicular steatosis due to excessive accumulation of fat in the liver cells from various causes. Modern medicine believes that the liver is an important site of fat metabolism, and when the liver’s ability to synthesize or transport fat increases or decreases, lipids can accumulate in the liver and form a fatty liver. Although fatty liver is a benign lesion, about 25% can develop into liver fibrosis and 8% can develop into cirrhosis. It can be treated with Chinese medicine.  Fatty Liver Tai Formula: It is composed of 15 grams of Yin Chen, 10 grams of Yu Jin, 10 grams of Chai Hu, 30 grams of Roasted Astragalus, 15 grams of Fried Atractylodes, 10 grams of Ze Di, 15 grams of Danshen, 10 grams of Raw Rhubarb, 15 grams of Raw Hawthorn, 10 grams of Citrus aurantium, and 15 grams of Radix Shou Wu. Take with water decoction. If the waist and knees are sore and weak, the tendons and bones are weak, the elderly or frail people with liver and kidney deficiency, add 30 grams of mulberry and 10 grams of eucommia to nourish the kidneys and strengthen the waist; if the dizziness and swelling of the ribs, impatience and irritability, liver depression and qi stagnation, add 10 grams of aromatic herb and 10 grams of neem to clear the liver and regulate qi; if the dizziness and swelling, redness and redness of the face, burning pain in the ribs, liver depression and fire, add 10 grams of gardenia, 10 grams of gentian grass and 10 grams of scutellaria to clear the liver and If the stool is dry and difficult to go down, with heat and fluid deficiency, add 15 grams each of Radix et Rhizoma Dioscoreae, Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng and Radix et Rhizoma Macrocephalae to nourish yin and increase fluid to clear the stool; if the belching is acidic and the liver and stomach are out of harmony, add 10 grams of Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng (cloth wrap), 15 grams of Ochre (first decoction), 10 grams of Persimmon, 15 grams of Raw loosestrife and 10 grams of Jiang Zhuru to lower the rebellion and stop vomiting.
