With the development of social and economic development, people’s living standards have been improved, private cars have been driven into ordinary people’s homes, do have a car family is no longer a luxury. But there is a part of the people, not can not afford to buy, but have a car can not drive, dare not drive. Why is this? Recently, my clinic has several such cases: Case 1, Wang, male, 35 years old, businessman. The business has always been a good business, quite successful. Very early bought a pricey car, driving out to do things, both convenient and stylish, and now the driving age of at least seven to eight years. But the sky is unpredictable, last summer, business investment mistakes, business suffered setbacks, Wang Mou spirit doubly devastated. Began to appear such a problem, every time he sat in his familiar car, it will be like a needle on pins and needles, fearful, afraid to start the car. Because he is always worried about the car near, or under the car there are children or small animals, he believes that many children will hide near the car when playing hide-and-seek, or small animals fall asleep near the tires, in case they do not pay attention to crush him (it) is not bad? Even he himself knows that this worry is ridiculous and unnecessary. But once you have to start the car, you can’t help but worry, nervousness and fear. He tried many times to convince himself that he was fine and that he was worrying too much, but he was still afraid of what would happen if something went wrong, and always checked around the car many times. Family members have advised and encouraged him to drive boldly many times, but he is always afraid to drive. So much so that when he goes out to do things always have to take his wife as his driver, his wife inconvenience to take the bus or taxi. Case 2, Xiao Zhang, female, 27 years old. She consulted a similar problem as Wang, except that she always thought she hit someone while driving. So much so that when driving carefully again and again, do not dare to drive fast, afraid that they hit someone, and often suspect that they have hit someone, had to stop the car on the side of the road, turn around to find out if someone was hit on the road. Especially at the bend in the road, when there are pedestrians waiting to cross the road, she is always worried about hitting or scraping the pedestrians, so anxious that to the next intersection to turn the car back again, go back again to see if someone was really hit. She also knows that this should not be, unnecessary, trying to control themselves not to think like this, not to worry about this, but once driving on the road, began to worry, very painful. So much so that she is afraid to drive regularly. It is not uncommon to see similar cases in psychological outpatient work. What exactly is wrong with this kind of performance? In the Diagnostic and Classification Criteria for Mental Disorders, such cases belong to a manifestation of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Obsessive-compulsive disorder is a neurological disorder in which symptoms such as obsessive-compulsive ideas, compulsive impulses or compulsive behaviors are the main manifestation. Patients know that these compulsive symptoms are irrational and unnecessary, but they are unable to control or get rid of them, and are therefore anxious and distressed. The specific manifestations of obsessive-compulsive disorder include obsessive suspicion, obsessive recall, obsessive exhaustion, obsessive intention, obsessive examination, obsessive washing, and obsessive ritualistic actions. The above case belongs to the symptoms of obsessive-compulsive suspicion and obsessive-compulsive examination. The treatment of OCD currently relies on medication in combination with psychotherapy. Although the treatment of some obsessive-compulsive disorders is currently considered somewhat complex, most patients with OCD will achieve satisfactory results with systematic treatment.
