Precautions for influenza A (H1N1) vaccination in patients after liver transplantation

Liver transplantation patients due to long-term immunosuppressive drugs, immune function is low, in order to prevent influenza virus infection, in the vaccination of influenza A H1N1 vaccine need to pay attention to the following circumstances  1, due to the early post-transplantation period, the patient’s immune status has not reached the basic steady-state level, so vaccination is not recommended within 6 months after liver transplantation.  2.Vaccination must be inactivated vaccine, live attenuated vaccine may have the risk of infection, so it is not recommended.  3.The route of vaccination is recommended to be intramuscular injection, and nasal aspiration vaccination is prohibited.  4.In order to prevent cross-infection, family members and close contacts of patients and medical workers must be vaccinated at the same time.  5.Since influenza A (H1N1) vaccine is a new type of vaccine, some unpredictable adverse reactions may occur.  For patients after liver transplantation, their success rate may be affected after vaccination due to different degrees of suppression of their own immune function.
