What is hip pain?

Sore hip bones may be caused by a variety of physiological and pathological causes. For example, menopausal women are prone to osteoporosis, which, when more severe, can put them at higher risk of fracture, osteoporotic fracture or bone fracture, which may manifest as a sore sensation in some patients; soreness may also occur after a herniated disc compresses or stimulates the associated nerve.
