Even in the case of sore hip bones, patients are not advised to use analgesic medication on their own, as this may mask the condition and delay treatment. The cause of the soreness needs to be identified first. If the cause is traumatic, appropriate anti-inflammatory and analgesic medication such as loxoprofen sodium and aminoglutethimide can be used after assessment, together with surgery if necessary. If it is synovitis, it can also be treated with intravenous penicillin medication.
