What are the conditions of dysmenorrhea?

There are two types of dysmenorrhea: a primary dysmenorrhea, also known as functional dysmenorrhea, often occurs in a period after menarche, mostly in unmarried or married women who are not pregnant, and the symptoms of dysmenorrhea can be reduced or disappear after childbirth; the other is called secondary dysmenorrhea, often caused by endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc. According to statistics, half of all women have dysmenorrhea symptoms, of which primary dysmenorrhea accounts for 50%. The general symptoms are: 1-2 days before menstruation, begin to feel lumbago and small abdominal pain, the pain can radiate to the perineum and anus; often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, frequent urination, constipation or diarrhea; abdominal pain can last for several hours or 1-2 days; when the menstrual blood flow, the pain gradually reduced. When individual girls are in pain, they also appear pale, cold hands and feet, cold sweat or even fainting, which requires timely treatment. The treatment of dysmenorrhea, in addition to symptomatic treatment (oral painkillers), can also consider the use of Chinese medicine. This is the principle of dysmenorrhea, and the medication is based on the principle of activating blood circulation and harmonizing qi and blood. In addition to medication, patients should also pay attention to: 1, appropriate physical exercise to enhance physical fitness to improve blood circulation. 2, pay attention to menstrual rest (bed rest if necessary), should not do strenuous activities, avoid cold and rain. 3, to ensure smooth bowel movements. 4, abstain from sexual life, absolutely forbid intercourse during menstruation. 5, pay attention to local warmth, avoid eating cold. 6, correct understanding of menstruation as a normal physiological phenomenon, do not fear, tension, disgust, so as not to aggravate the symptoms, should be held in a relaxed mood. For patients with recurrent episodes, the nature of dysmenorrhea should be noted and different measures should be used for targeted treatment.
