Male Health Challenges and Clinical Interventions in an Aging Society

  In 2050, the global population over 60 years of age will be larger than the population under 15 years of age, and the impact of an aging society or population aging on men’s health has become a common challenge in the global village. Late-onset hypogonadism (LOH), also known as partial androgen deficiency and male menopause syndrome, is of great concern because of its high prevalence, its impact on multiple target organs or systems in men, and its severe reduction in quality of life, especially in middle-aged and elderly men. The establishment of a clinical intervention system for the prevention and treatment of LOH is urgent, and it is urgent to explore a diagnostic scale and diagnostic targets for the genetic characteristics of male reproduction in China, and to establish a social support system, comprehensive intervention measures and prevention system based on community health care that is compatible with a harmonious society.
