Myeloma is capable of invading various tissues throughout the body, and its clinical manifestations are multisystemic and diverse, but anemia, bone marrow damage, and renal disease are the most prominent. Sooner or later in the course of the disease, patients with myeloma will develop clinical manifestations of renal damage. The prognosis generally includes the following, certain chromosomal abnormalities, such as chromosome 13 deletion, and then the plasma cell marker index, β2 microglobulin level, serum albumin level, and serum creatinine level. In elderly patients, such as those older than 75 years, plasma lactate dehydrogenase levels, and in multiple extramedullary plasmacytomas, C-reactive protein levels, are all criteria that will determine prognosis.
