Myeloma refers to plasma cell tumors originating in bone, or multiple myeloma, and is a malignant neoplastic disease of the hematological system. Patients mainly present with anemia, renal impairment, elevated blood calcium and multiple bone pains. Treatment is mainly based on plasma cell tumors, with chemotherapy, immunomodulators, plus protease inhibitors. Bone metastases refer to metastasis of other tumors to bone, such as bone metastasis of lung cancer, bone metastasis of colorectal cancer, bone metastasis of breast cancer, etc. Bone metastases mainly manifest as bone pain, and in the bone marrow are mainly metastatic cancer cells. Treatment is mainly directed to the treatment of bone metastases, as well as the treatment of the primary tumor. For example, for lung cancer bone metastases, radiotherapy or targeted therapy is done for bone metastases. Breast cancer is mainly treated with modified radical surgery of breast cancer, plus radiotherapy of bone or local particle implantation.
