Classification of acne severity

  Acne vulgaris is clinically classified into degrees I to IV according to the severity of the condition: Degree I (mild): disseminated to multiple blackheads, which may be accompanied by scattered inflammatory papules.    Grade II (moderate): On top of the mild degree, the number of inflammatory lesions increases, and shallow pustules appear, but are confined to the face.    Degree III (severe): on the basis of the moderate degree, deepening of the presence of insidious pustules, distributed on the face, neck and chest and back.    Degree IV (severe ~ clustered) severe base with nodules and cysts with scar formation, occurring on the upper part of the body.    Mild degree usually does not need treatment, moderate degree is treated with topical medication, and severe degree and above need systematic treatment.
