What are the causes of dysmenorrhea?

Dysmenorrhea is a common and frequent disease in gynecology, with many causes, complex pathogenesis, recurrent nature, and difficult treatment, especially in young women and girls in the early menstrual period, which is more common. Symptoms: breast pain, anal swelling, chest tightness, irritability, sadness, insomnia, headache and dizziness, nausea and vomiting, stomach pain and diarrhea, fatigue, pale face, cold limbs, cold sweat, fainting and other symptoms. Its high incidence, wide range, close cycle, pain, seriously affect the majority of women’s work and study, reducing the quality of life. There are many factors that cause dysmenorrhea, the common ones are as follows: 1, cervical canal stenosis mainly obstructs the outflow of menstruation and causes dysmenorrhea. 2, uterine dysplasia poorly developed uterus easily combined with abnormal blood supply, resulting in uterine ischemia, hypoxia and cause dysmenorrhea. 3, abnormal uterine position if the uterus position is extremely retroflexion or preflexion, can affect the smooth flow of menstrual blood and cause dysmenorrhea. 4, mental and nervous factors some women are overly sensitive to pain. 5, genetic factors dysmenorrhea occurs in daughters and mother dysmenorrhea has a certain relationship. 6, endocrine factors abdominal pain during menstruation is related to elevated progesterone in the luteal phase. 7, endometrium and menstrual blood in the prostaglandin (PG) content is elevated, prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) has an effect on the uterine muscle fibers to make them contraction cause dysmenorrhea. The prostaglandin content in the endometrial tissue of menstruating patients is significantly higher in normal women. 8. Excessive contraction of the uterus. Although the contraction pressure of the uterus in patients with dysmenorrhea is basically the same as that of normal women (the normal pressure is about 4.9 Kpa), the uterine contraction lasts longer and is often not easy to relax completely, so dysmenorrhea due to excessive contraction of the uterus occurs. 9, abnormal contraction of the uterus. Patients with dysmenorrhea often have abnormal contractions of the uterus, which often lead to uterine smooth muscle ischemia, and uterine muscle ischemia can cause spasmodic contraction of the uterine muscle, resulting in pain and dysmenorrhea. 10, gynecological diseases such as endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, adenomyosis, uterine fibroids, etc. Intrauterine device (commonly known as birth control ring) is also prone to cause dysmenorrhea. 11.Menstrual pain is caused by the first menstruation of young girls, psychological stress, poor circulation of qi and blood due to sedentary lifestyle, poor operation of menstrual blood, love of cold food, etc. 12, strenuous exercise during menstruation, wind, cold, wet and cold invasion, etc., are prone to cause dysmenorrhea.
